Nerve Cells, also called as neurons, are the fundamental elements of the central nervous system of our BRAIN.. The central nervous system is made up of approximately 100 Billion Neurons (in mathematical calculation we can say "10 to the power 11").. During BRAIN development neurons are added at an amazing speed of 2,50,000 neurons per minute..  The first 3 years of life are a period of incredible growth in all areas of our body.. A newborn baby's BRAIN is approximately 1/4th of its adult weight.. By age 3,, it has grown incredibly by producing billions of cells & hundred of trillions of connections / synapses.. We should grab the chance to help children get off to a tremendous start & establish personalized patterns for life long,, in the very first year of their age..

The BRAIN is the center piece of our nerve system & the most complex organ in our body.. Although BRAIN works as a unified whole,, scientists can identify the areas within that perform specific functions.. BRAIN has 3 interconnected layers:

The CENTRAL CORE

THE LIMBIC SYSTEM

THE CEREBRAL CORTEX
