Our BRAIN is part of the Central Nervous System,, and plays a decisive role in controlling all body functions,, including both voluntary activities like walking & speaking and involuntary activities like breathing & blinking..

Our BRAIN has two Hemispheres & each hemisphere has four main lobes.. Each of these lobes has numerous folds.. These folds do not mature at the same time.. The chemicals that foster BRAIN development are released in waves,, as a result,, different areas of BRAIN involve in a predictable sequence.. The timings of these development changes explains,, in part,, why there are Prime Times for certain kind of learning & development..

Different parts of the BRAIN control different kinds of functions.. Most of the activities that we think of as BRAIN Work,, such as thinking,, planning && remembering,, are handled by Cerebral Cortex,, the upper most,, ridged portion of the BRAIN.. Other parts of the BRAIN also play a role in memory & learning,, including the thalamus,, hippocampus,, amygdala & Basal BRAIN.. The hypothalamus & amygdala,, as well as the other parts of the BRAIN,, are also important in reacting to stress & controlling emotions..
